01 / Information

Information We Collect

South Jersey Sunrooms & Decks collects only the information needed to respond to homeowner inquiries and to operate this website. The categories of personal information we collect through sjsunrooms.com are:

  • Contact form submissions, including first name, last name, phone number, email address, project description, and optional address or zip code.
  • SMS opt-in data captured when a visitor checks the SMS consent checkbox on the contact form (phone number plus a timestamped record of the consent).
  • Limited playback data collected by our embedded video provider (Wistia) when a visitor plays a video on the site. This data is handled by Wistia and used for video performance reporting.

The site also uses Google Analytics 4, the Meta Pixel, and Google Ads, which set their own cookies and collect usage and advertising data as described in the Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising section below. We do not require account registration, we do not collect payment data through this site, and we do not collect sensitive personal identifiers beyond what is listed above.

We use measurement and analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, and Google Ads) that receive browsing and usage data as described in the Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising section below. We do not sell your personal information, we do not perform data profiling, and we do not make automated decisions about you based on this data.

04 / Sharing

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with the small set of service providers required to operate the website and follow up on your inquiry:

  • Resend (resend.com)

Receives contact form submissions as lead notification emails sent to the business owner so we can respond to your inquiry.

  • Cloudflare (cloudflare.com)

Hosts the website and processes all web traffic through its network as part of normal CDN and security operations.

  • Zapier (zapier.com)

A client-configured Zapier webhook may forward your form submission to our CRM. The Zapier connection is automated; no Zapier employee reviews individual records.

  • Wistia (wistia.com)

Hosts the videos embedded on this site. When you play a video, Wistia receives playback information and may set cookies in your browser to measure video performance. Wistia's privacy practices are governed by its own privacy policy.

  • Google (analytics.google.com, ads.google.com)

Receives site usage data (pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location) via Google Analytics 4, and receives conversion and remarketing signals via Google Ads. Data is processed under Google's privacy policy. See the Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising section below for opt-out options.

  • Meta (facebook.com, meta.com)

Receives page view and form-submission events via the Meta Pixel, enabling us to measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Data is processed under Meta's data policy. See the Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising section below for ad preference controls.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use data brokers. The sharing described above is limited to operating the website, responding to inquiries, and measuring the performance of our advertising.

05 / Cookies

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

This site uses several third-party tools that set cookies and collect data about how visitors use the site. Here is what each tool does and how you can control it.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies (including _ga and _gid) and collects data such as pages viewed, time on site, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This data is processed by Google under its privacy policy.

To opt out of Google Analytics measurement across all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram Advertising)

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram advertising. The Pixel sets and reads cookies (including _fbp and _fbc) and reports actions such as page views and contact form submissions to Meta. This helps us understand which ads led to inquiries and allows Meta to show our ads to relevant audiences. Data is shared with Meta under its data policy.

You can manage your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.

Google Ads (Conversion Tracking and Remarketing)

We use Google Ads to track which ad clicks lead to contact form submissions (conversion tracking) and to show our ads to past site visitors on Google properties (remarketing). Google Ads uses cookies on Google and DoubleClick domains for this purpose. Data is shared with Google under its privacy policy.

You can review and adjust your Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.

First-Party Attribution (How You Found Us)

When you visit the site, our first-party code records how you found us. Specifically, it captures: the UTM source parameter from the URL (for example, if you clicked a link in a marketing email), the website that referred you here, the first page you landed on, and the page you are currently viewing. If you arrived from a Meta ad (identified by a fbclid parameter in the URL), a _fbc cookie is stored in your browser for up to approximately two years to associate the visit with the ad click. We also read the _fbp cookie that the Meta Pixel sets.

This data is stored in your browser's session storage for the duration of your visit. When you submit the contact form, these attribution details (UTM source, referring website, entry page, current page, and the _fbc and _fbp cookie values if present) are included in the lead notification email we receive. This lets us know which marketing channel referred you so we can understand what is working.

This attribution data is not sold and is not shared with any party other than those listed in the Sharing of Information section above.

Wistia (Video)

When you play a video embedded on this site, Wistia may set cookies in your browser to measure playback (for example, total view time and whether a video completed). These cookies are set by wistia.com and only fire when you interact with a video.

Cookie Controls and Do Not Track

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. You can also use the opt-out links for each tool listed above. Because there is no industry-wide standard for the Do Not Track browser signal, we do not currently respond to it. The opt-out links above are the most reliable way to control data collection by specific tools.

06 / Children

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, contact us at hello@sjsunrooms.com and we will delete it promptly.

07 / Retention

Data Retention

Contact form data is retained for the duration of any active project or business relationship and for a reasonable period after project completion (typically 3 to 5 years) for warranty and legal compliance purposes.

Video playback data handled by Wistia is retained per Wistia's own retention schedule. Homeowners may request deletion of their data at any time. See “Your Rights” below for how to make a request.

08 / Your Rights

Your Rights

As a courtesy, and to the extent practical for a New Jersey home-improvement business, homeowners may request the following with respect to the personal data we hold about them. This is offered in good faith and does not represent a formal CCPA, GDPR, or other statutory data-rights program.

  • Access

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including form submissions and SMS opt-in records.

  • Correction

Request that we correct any personal data that is inaccurate or out of date.
